Design Criteria:
CBS wanted to create Web sites that would serve as 24/7 news and information portals for their 17 owned-and-operated TV stations. These "Always On" sites provide breaking news updates as well as financial, entertainment, and sports information. CBS5.com is one example of these sites.
Of Special Note:
The video player, designed under Stu's direction, is a unique and high-performance player that allows user to easily browse the day's news stories. The sites were crafted in strict XHTML for long-term standards compliance and performance.

Design Criteria:
SHF was looking for a custom-developed site that meets the needs of non-technical equestrians to provide a marketplace for buying, selling, and adopting horses.
Of Special Note:
This site integrates a custom-developed ad management system with a content management systems producing a fully scalable online business.

Design Criteria:
Todd was seeking a Realty Web site that was simple and to the point and stayed focused on buying and selling properties and on exceptional customer service.
Of Special Note:
Design Science developed a custom listing engine for this site and integrated both a blog and and instant messaging component that allows site visitors to text Todd directly from the Web site.

Design Criteria:
HomeGate has many repeat clients and wanted to keep the look and feel of the site reminiscent of the previous design while adding elegance and a better focus on buying and selling homes.
Of Special Note:
The home page includes two interactive Flash elements: the Find Your Home banner and the area map. Both are designed to fit seamlessly with the design of the site until the user places the mouse over them. Also, a randomizing feature was built into the "Agents" page, giving each agent an equal chance at "top billing" when visitors view that page.

Design Criteria:
This is a pure design site insofar as it employs little back-end programming. The idea for this site was to be as "un-lawyer-ly" as possible, communicating how simple and pleasant it is to arrange estate plans with Celeste.
Of Special Note:
The blue color and graphics were intended to produce an at-ease feeling and to illustrate the "path" to a securely planned future.

Biz-Net wanted to update their site with better graphics and an improved marketing message. Animated and interactive elements help to introduce site visitors to Biz-Net's computer maintenance expertise.

The site uses animated Flash banners to deliver a high-impact message and online quizzes and special offers to create community around Biz-Net.

Design Criteria:
Century's first Web site introduces their breadth of services to site visitors through the use of photos and intuitive navigation.
Of Special Note:
As with all Design Science designs, search engine optimization (SEO) features were built into the site and Century now enjoys first-page Google listings for customers looking for glass work in Reno.

Design Criteria:
The goal of this site was to quickly answer questions visitors may have about coaching without ever leaving the home page. At all turns the user is encouraged to make contact. The design is very personal as it reflects Andy's sensibilities about one's journey through life and career.
Of Special Note:
This site include a client area where users can retrieve documents pertinent to their work with Andy. Administrative pages allow the site text and client information to be updated. An interactive compass adds an interesting element to the home page.
